Incase there are any of you out there that have not picked up a set of these for your KH Moment cranks… I’ma throw a little info at you.
At first there its quite obvious that you have added a bulk of extra material to the nub of your crank, It certainly can be felt rubbing your shoe, getting caught on low tops, and such. Though after a few minutes of riding and a slight adjustment to your stance… the Rollo’s loud entrance fades into the background.
These are MUST HAVE for anyone that rides with Moments and is even remotely into flatland. The rollos extend the standing room on the crank to almost double its size.

On of the first differences in ridding ability that I noticed, what the amount of time I was about to stay stalled standing one footed on just one crank. The amount of stability that is gained from the rollos is quite impressive.
I really love tubular CrMO cranks, so I am a hard sell, however I really do believe that the Rollos make Moment cranks one hell of a ride. There is just no way tubies are gonna compete with that standing room and stability. I must also mention that many of riders have strength issues with tubular cranks… Somewhere Moments do not fail.
Also keep in mind these are an easy on easy off part, customized to fit your ride.

Great review. I had some for a while just to see if I could learn some flat, but then noticed that they were really starting to get in the way when I tried to grind on just the pedal. So if you’re into round rails then you should take them off I think.

Good review. You seem to have hit on all of the big parts for it. Thanks man.

Nice review. I think I might be riding moments with rollos in the near future and had been wondering how they compared to the Koxx-Street cranks. Thanks for this.

Sam, are you using a K1 hub? I think you have quite a bit more room than normal because of the slim triton bearing holders and it looks like your cranks are further out than normal (maybe it is just the holders though).
I really like rollos (probably didn’t have to say that) I actually never hit my shoes on them, I also ride short cranks so that could have something to do with it.

March 26th, 2010 at 6:06 pmIts a KH hub. It is infact the skinny frame legs and bearing clamps that give all that extra room… one of the best aspects of the Triton, IMO.
My first attempt at giving the Rollos a try was with a K1 hub, but even with the long bolts they were not long enough… not sure the extra Q would have been ideal anyway.

Thanks Kevin,
Thats a very good call, and something that I meant to touch upon in this review. Its still easy enough to grind with them on… we all know how easy it is to be lazy. For sure, tho if you are going to to hit rails you should prolly take the rollos off. This is one of the big pluses for having the removable option.
