The Triton Sponge is a hand made Russian Titanium frame. Weighing in at about 520 grams depending on tube length, it is DAMN LIGHT.
Ti is known in the cycling industry for its strength which is close to steel, and its weight which is close to aluminum. It’s more than just the fancy Russian Ti that makes this frame special…

Sponge- a unicyclist, a bike trials rider, b-boy, and bmx flatlander saw the need for a new frame design. With the high amount of complaints from people bashing shins and knees on the sharp corners of the current frames, it was obvious the unicycle industry needed something new. The old school shin friendly round crown frame can be strong and painless, but what about tricks?

Unicycling, for most riders, is about tricks. Even a trials rider may want to throw his foot on the crown every now and then. The Triton Sponge is a hybird round/flat crown frame. Its round enough to take the edge off some of the pain, and flat enough to keep your foot in place (specially with grip tape).
Triton only did a small number of these frames, from 19″ to 36″ sizes, before orders were stopped and the Triton frame building business was put on hold.
Well it looks like Triton might be coming back. Getting ready to take orders for the Sponge in custom seat tube lengths and wheel sizes, optional integrated clamp, and optional Magura mounts.
Along with the Sponge there will be a very limited run of a new frame with a different crown design… have not seen pictures yet.
Well here is to an awesome frame coming back. I hope this all works out.
